Entrepreneurship is a key driver of wealth and an engine for our nation’s economy. But the numbers on who starts and grows businesses also reveal those benefits are not equally shared throughout our society. So how do we talk about expanding entrepreneurial opportunity to all communities in a bold yet thoughtful way? How does an agenda like this take shape?

On May 12, Representative Sharice Davids, Chair of the House Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access, will join the Alliance for Entrepreneurial Equity for a virtual conversation about the needs of underserved businesses and how to build a modern entrepreneurship agenda. Following the discussion, we will host a panel with experts Xiomara Peña from the Small Business Majority, Kim Lane from Right to Start, and Sheila Mixon of the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio to imagine what an agenda focused on equity in entrepreneurship would look like.
